Jan van Dijk's late challenge caught a Oevereind FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan van Dijk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Jan van Dijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Blomkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joeri Borg in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Fokke van Rhijn managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc genemuiden's supporters rose to their feet, but Fokke van Rhijn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gösta Blomkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oevereind FC's Gösta Blomkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Zomerdijk in the 11th minute of play. When Geert Arend Wensing fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fc genemuiden's protests and gave Geert Arend Wensing a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Oevereind FC got a freekick which was hit by Mark Bernard. Gösta Blomkvist didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when fc genemuiden's Joeri Borg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Gösta Blomkvist came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by fc genemuiden's Fokke van Rhijn. But to his dismay, Fokke van Rhijn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Oevereind FC's Kevin Dolfing got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donny Hofland made a kick off. The long shot by Fokke van Rhijn in the 59th minute really tested Gösta Blomkvist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Donny Hofland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Timo Stroeve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gösta Blomkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joeri Borg in the 64th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Fokke van Rhijn dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gösta Blomkvist, 0-4. When Marco Hoogland fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oevereind FC's protests and gave Marco Hoogland a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Marco Hoogland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Adriaan Heersprink from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Gösta Blomkvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, fc genemuiden's Joeri Borg got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Fokke van Rhijn charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fokke van Rhijn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle went the supporters of fc genemuiden were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Oevereind FC side.
