Gerrit van Veldhuizen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Willem Klooster, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jos van Zomeren made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 7thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gerrit van Veldhuizen would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Jan-Willem Klooster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Westerhof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Telkamp having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans van Dartel during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hans van Dartel hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Jan Telkamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Westerhof, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Willem Klooster stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The F.C. Limburg fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when F.C. Limburg's Auke Brugmans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jan Telkamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Westerhof in the 71st minute of the match. Jan Westerhof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Telkamp having to interfere. Jan Telkamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Westerhof, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. Limburg's Gerrit van Veldhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Willem Klooster in the 81st minute of play. Limburg players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Benedenheul from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
