Richard Jonkman hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Remond Arends sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Kevin Schiphouwer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Kevin Schiphouwer put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alwin Engelaar. In the 27th minute, Remond Arends got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alwin Engelaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Bhutan Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Remond Arends came free, but Alwin Engelaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remond Arends stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bhutan Utd's zone, Remond Arends stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alwin Engelaar came out of the goal and Remond Arends tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Schiphouwer took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alwin Engelaar. Alwin Engelaar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. A collision led to Bhutan Utd getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Maurits Kaspers hit a great ball. Alwin Engelaar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Schiphouwer in the 66th minute. Geale Crans kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Alwin Engelaar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remond Arends's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Bhutan Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kevin Schiphouwer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kevin Schiphouwer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alwin Engelaar having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Remond Arends notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Bhutan Utd's Alwin Engelaar. Alwin Engelaar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Schiphouwer got free with Alwin Engelaar in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Felix Pierewaaijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bhutan Utd's goalkeeper Alwin Engelaar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Langeberg S.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
