In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mickyboy FC's goalkeeper Ernest Lans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lex van der Weerden took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernest Lans. Ernest Lans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Otto Zwartkruis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panheel HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Zwartkruis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Coenraad Brürs in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Smits prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bennie Hebels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mickyboy FC booed when Panheel HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Wortelboer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Otto Zwartkruis was the one to do the kick off.
