The tension between the Bolletjes and the Hofke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adriaan den Hartog hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Damien de Groot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Panter, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Rafael Panter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hofke's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Panter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damien de Groot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bolletjes's Theo Rijaard got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Bolletjes support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
