With a little luck, Valkenhuizen RKSV's Sebastiaan Ronde got control of the ball when Bjorn Teuws tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ron Schuurmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valkenhuizen RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefano Vondel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 86th minute, one of Valkenhuizen RKSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Valkenhuizen RKSV. Timo Zeegers walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Bart Steelman kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Valkenhuizen RKSV! Valkenhuizen RKSV:s Sebastiaan Ronde showed great skill when he stopped Timo Zeegers:s penalty.
