After some careless play in the Latum defense, Paul Breinburg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Keupink. The Latum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Keupink should have stopped the shot. Jochem Meyer's late challenge caught a Latum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jochem Meyer helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Vossen RAA got a freekick which was hit by Jochem Meyer. Dirk Jan Jonkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oliver Keupink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Wemers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Jan Witters in the 91st minute of the match. If Dirk Jan Jonkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the game, Latum's Olof Spierenburg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roland Wemers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
