Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mathias Zoethout made the kick off which started today's match. Remond Craandijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Nagel in the 5th minute of play. When Mark van Damme came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Robben pucks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark van Damme couldn't finish the play. Remond Craandijk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Nagel, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Gert Jan Hoogland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Giesendam's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Jan Hoogland came free, but Remond Craandijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dolf Veldman hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mathias Zoethout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie van Olst having to interfere. Jens Nagel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute of the match Otto Jorna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remond Craandijk skillfully saved the ball. Theo Zonneveld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie van Olst having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jens Nagel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Robben pucks's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Nagel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remond Craandijk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Zoethout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Robbie van Olst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens Nagel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Giesendam getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dirk Jan Kluivert hit a great ball. Remond Craandijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Nagel in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Mark van Damme got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Zonneveld in the 66th minute of play forced Robben pucks's goalkeeper Robbie van Olst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gert Jan Hoogland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Nagel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Remond Craandijk came out and tried to block the shot, but Jens Nagel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 69th minute. If Theo Zonneveld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theo Zonneveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Zoethout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Robbie van Olst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias Zoethout struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Robbie van Olst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giesendam. A collision led to Robben pucks getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gert Jan Hoogland hit a great ball. If Jens Nagel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
