Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Niels-Jan Hellemons started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Olaf Stegeman kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Olaf Stegeman hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes Abtsdale got a freekick which was hit by Sipke Staal. Harold Bömker, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Rotterdam City getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Niels-Jan Hellemons hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes Abtsdale got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Stegeman. In the 15th minute, Carlo Ekelhoff fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 15th minute, Gio Geraets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rotterdam City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Carlo Ekelhoff took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Robin Wagemakers to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, Rotterdam City's goalkeeper Robin Wagemakers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlo Ekelhoff. 31 minutes into the match, Rotterdam City's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Hosson came free, but Robin Wagemakers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niels-Jan Hellemons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abtsdale's Jurjen Even played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mart Zegers in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Gio Geraets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rotterdam City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gio Geraets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Wim Roetering fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abtsdale's protests and gave Wim Roetering a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Abtsdale got a freekick which was hit by Wim Roetering. Niels-Jan Hellemons struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jurjen Even didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rotterdam City. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Hosson to make the kick off. Sipke Staal made in the 54th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Wim Roetering. In the 57th play minute Gio Geraets came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jurjen Even. 1-2. Jan-Willem Tuhuteru struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jurjen Even didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rotterdam City. If Gio Geraets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Abtsdale's Sipke Staal got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jurjen Even made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Mart Zegers sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Gio Geraets took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Jurjen Even to make any attempt to save it. Klaas Keller hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the match Harold Bömker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jurjen Even skillfully saved the ball. Claudio Biagetti hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Henk Severijnse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robin Wagemakers skillfully saved the ball. Gio Geraets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
