Geestdorp SV's Jacco Gasteren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Aalberts in the 17th minute of play. Luuk Wessels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jacco Gasteren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arne Jonker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arne Jonker in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertus Hoogsteen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Geestdorp SV's Arne Jonker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bertus Hoogsteen narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luuk Wessels was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Kettingwier's Harm ten Rouwelaar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Geestdorp SV's Michael Schophuis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bertus Hoogsteen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne van Bommel in the 57th minute of the match. Kettingwier's Harm ten Rouwelaar got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Harm ten Rouwelaar off the ground. In the 70th minute, Harm ten Rouwelaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Jonker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertus Hoogsteen having to make a save. Arne van Bommel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertus Hoogsteen having to interfere. Arne Jonker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Bertus Hoogsteen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes of play, Geestdorp SV's Arne Jonker made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertus Hoogsteen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Arne Jonker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Kettingwier's Luuk Wessels got a free kick in the 86th minute. Michael Schophuis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alwin Sturm got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 89th minute, Alwin Sturm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Geestdorp SV had won after a very even match.
