Roy Pepping kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Horn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Grommers to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Stefan Theissen scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Koen Beukers who was too lazy, 1-0. Douwe Tamminga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Kauffeld having to interfere. Dennis Bender's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steven Kauffeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Ricky Hemmen hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Douwe Tamminga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stal Sanok's Steven Kauffeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douwe Tamminga in the 37th minute of play. Steven Kauffeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Bender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Kauffeld having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Stal Sanok's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bender came free, but Steven Kauffeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douwe Tamminga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Steven Kauffeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gregor Grommers came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Horn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregor Grommers couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Bender stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Douwe Tamminga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Steven Kauffeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ab Sluis's late challenge caught a Stal Sanok's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ab Sluis helped the player get up and apologised. Ab Sluis hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Stefan Theissen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Koen Beukers skillfully saved the ball. If Rudi Meijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Dennis Bender shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Kauffeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mirko Spanjaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Beukers having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Douwe Tamminga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Steven Kauffeld. The goal made the score 1-2. Douwe Tammingas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Steven Kauffeld to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute, Dennis Bender fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Dennis Bender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 91 minutes into the match, Stal Sanok's goalkeeper Steven Kauffeld had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douwe Tamminga. Jelle Heck was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd minute, Jelle Heck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Horn's goal looked a bit too open when Mirko Spanjaard came free, but Koen Beukers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Mirko Spanjaard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Koen Beukers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 98th minute, Horn's Roy Pepping dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3.
