With 3 minutes on the clock, Frans Roelofs commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sari Kanarya fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! 5 minutes into the match, Egbert Bergmeester had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christijan Platvoet. Sari Kanarya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egbert Bergmeester was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Christijan Platvoet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niels Saenen, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jacobus Oss kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Niels Saenen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christijan Platvoet was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Niels Saenen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Bruno Heuvel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kristian Numan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Heuvel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christijan Platvoet was a little too slow when Niels Saenen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Bruno Heuvel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kristian Numan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Tigelaar took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kristian Numan. Kristian Numan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bruno Heuvel made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Zaarvlaas HC booed when Sari Kanarya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Tigelaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niels Saenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christijan Platvoet having to interfere. Niels Saenen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Christijan Platvoet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niels Saenen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geert Heuving's late challenge caught a Zaarvlaas HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geert Heuving helped the player get up and apologised. Geert Heuving kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Ron van Mol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christijan Platvoet. Sari Kanarya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ron van Mol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 86th minute, Niels Saenen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christijan Platvoet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron van Mol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes of play, Zaarvlaas HC's Niels Saenen made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christijan Platvoet was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Zaarvlaas HC were the better team. Zaarvlaas HC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
