Spectators: 6900 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 50) Rasquert S.C.'s Robbie van Westerop started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Quick Boys's Jurjen Grol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eddy Roelfs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frans Famelen charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frans Famelen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Quick Boys getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Frans Famelen hit a great ball. Pierre van Wonderen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie van Westerop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes of play, Quick Boys's Ton de Vogt made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddy Roelfs was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jurjen Grol in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Roelfs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pierre van Wonderen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie van Westerop, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Quick Boys's Pierre van Wonderen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerjan Hofsteenge in the 20th minute of play. Pierre van Wonderen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan Hofsteenge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ton de Vogt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jurjen Grol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes in the game, Jurjen Grol dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Quick Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie van Westerop came free, but Pierre van Wonderen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Busch in the 34th minute of play forced Quick Boys's goalkeeper Pierre van Wonderen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurjen Grol kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ton de Vogt made a kick off. Ton de Vogt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eddy Roelfs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddy Roelfs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ton de Vogt's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Eddy Roelfs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurjen Grol, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ton de Vogt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddy Roelfs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Eddy Roelfs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurjen Grol, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Peter Busch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Rasquert S.C. defense, Ton de Vogt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddy Roelfs. The Rasquert S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddy Roelfs should have stopped the shot. Ton de Vogt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quick Boys's Pierre van Wonderen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Quick Boys from getting a goal against them. If Jurjen Grol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Jurjen Grol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rasquert S.C.'s Eddy Roelfs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ton de Vogt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ton de Vogt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eddy Roelfs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
