Hub Erenstein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vlotbrug Excelsior's Hub Erenstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Vlotbrug Excelsior from getting a goal against them. Sporting Bijlmer FC's Frits Assendelft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaap Ooijer in the 91st minute of play. Sporting Bijlmer FC played a much better game than Vlotbrug Excelsior and deserved their victory. The Vlotbrug Excelsior players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
