Theo Oevermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferdinant Anneese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Schol in the 14th minute of play. Andreas Schol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdinant Anneese having to make a save. In the 21st minute Andreas Schol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinant Anneese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Theo Oevermans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinant Anneese was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Tommie Jongsma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Vennegoor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. During the 63rd minute of the match Jens Warringa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jens Warringa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to SV Ouwerkerk getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jens Warringa hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Otto Reinders shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Vennegoor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Bilboa Emphes's goalkeeper Ferdinant Anneese had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theo Oevermans. In the 71st minute, Rien Jonkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Andreas Schol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Ouwerkerk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bilboa Emphes the free kick. Theo Oevermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ferdinant Anneese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Theo Oevermans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
