Jelte Meijer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mean Machine. Pieter Scheer made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Alexander Bernard sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Mean Machine's Pieter Scheer got control of the ball when Alexander Bernard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Mean Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serge Bouwens to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Bruno van der Werff from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Pieter Scheer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinant Latten in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pieter Scheer saved Mean Machine from getting behind. Alexander Bernard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pieter Scheer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mean Machine! The referee gave Medel a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno van der Werff, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mean Machine's Pieter Scheer. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jelte Meijer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boudewijn Venema went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Ferdinant Latten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinant Latten in the 71st minute of play forced Mean Machine's goalkeeper Pieter Scheer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Ferdinant Latten sped through Mean Machine's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pieter Scheer. A collision led to Medel getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Egbert Staal hit a great ball. Cees Ooijer spun around in front of the goal 79 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Medel's goal. When Medel's Ferdinant Latten in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mean Machine's goalie prevented a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's Boudewijn Venema sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelte Meijer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinant Latten in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pieter Scheer saved Mean Machine from getting behind. Medel's Jelte Meijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Medel from getting a goal against them. After 95 minutes, Egbert Staal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medel and the Mean Machine players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mean Machine booed when Medel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Staal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mean Machine's Mathieu Mik was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jelte Meijer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Medel had played much better football throughout.
