With a little luck, Redichem FC's Elmar Roorda got control of the ball when Boudewijn Venema tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Geert Piening hit a great ball. When Redichem FC's Frederik Evans in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Boudewijn Venema was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ferdi Batum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mean Machine's Pieter Scheer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederik Evans in the 30th minute of play. Elmar Roorda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cees Ooijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cees Ooijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boudewijn Venema sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cees Ooijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Roorda having to interfere. When Serge Bouwens fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mean Machine's protests and gave Serge Bouwens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Serge Bouwens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Cees Ooijer made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Redichem FC's zone, Cees Ooijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmar Roorda came out of the goal and Cees Ooijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's goalkeeper Pieter Scheer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martien Vonk. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Martien Vonk got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Serge Bouwens hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Reinhard Konterman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 64th minute Cees Ooijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmar Roorda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Redichem FC's Elmar Roorda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Ooijer in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Frederik Evans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter Scheer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Hendrik Luijten charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Hendrik Luijten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Redichem FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Hendrik Luijten to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes, Mean Machine's Mathieu Mik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elmar Roorda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mean Machine reached it. Pieter Scheer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Evans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Martien Vonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Redichem FC's goalkeeper Elmar Roorda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marick Lever kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Cees Ooijer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mean Machine's supporters rose to their feet, but Cees Ooijer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmar Roorda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
