Niek Plescher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bert Huizinga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Roelof Schiphouwer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogier Witting. FC Eemdijk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roelof Schiphouwer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Roelof Schiphouwer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogier Witting having to interfere. Roelof Schiphouwer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rogier Witting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Lyesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Lyesen struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rogier Witting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hunzebergen Eendracht. After 42 played minutes FC Eemdijk got a freekick which was hit by Wilfried Tuyp. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Tom Lyesen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hunzebergen Eendracht's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Lyesen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogier Witting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bert Huizinga to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Eemdijk's Rogier Witting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roelof Schiphouwer in the 54th minute of play. Bruno Drent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Niek Plescher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogier Witting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Lyesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
