Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Reek Excelsior's Albert Rodenboog started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaap Roetering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Rodenboog in the 5th minute of play. Wesley Dam kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Roy Baker charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy Baker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Roy Baker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arjen Witters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram de Ruijter in the 16th minute of play forced Eikenheuvel's goalkeeper Jaap Roetering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Reek Excelsior's Sjors Panter got a free kick in the 21st minute. Gerald Stroeve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ronaldinho 楚城 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jelle Pierewaaijer was a little too slow when Gerald Stroeve got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jelle Pierewaaijer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerald Stroeve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, Reek Excelsior's Albert Rodenboog made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaap Roetering was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerald Stroeve's late challenge caught a Reek Excelsior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerald Stroeve helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Eikenheuvel got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Stroeve. After 36 played minutes Eikenheuvel got a freekick which was hit by Timmie Dongen. After 37 played minutes, Reek Excelsior's Wesley Dam shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaap Roetering came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Reek Excelsior reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram de Ruijter in the 41st minute of play forced Eikenheuvel's goalkeeper Jaap Roetering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Eikenheuvel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Stroeve to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Bram de Ruijter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jaap Roetering was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Eikenheuvel players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Reek Excelsior were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerald Stroeve to make the kick off. Bram de Ruijter kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jelle Pierewaaijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho 楚城, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jaap Roetering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Rodenboog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Rodenboog might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaap Roetering. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Rodenboog ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th match minute, Eikenheuvel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Oss to maneuver through the defense. Arjen Witters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jelle Pierewaaijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Stroeve in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Eikenheuvel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arjen Witters to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldinho 楚城 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Eikenheuvel's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Rodenboog came free, but Jaap Roetering reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Reek Excelsior booed when Eikenheuvel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Joost Blommaart didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Eikenheuvel defense, Albert Rodenboog kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaap Roetering. The Eikenheuvel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaap Roetering should have stopped the shot.
