The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Allard Koopmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Dekkers in the 14th minute of play. If Filip Dekkers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niels-Jan Wijnands's late challenge caught a FC duindorp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niels-Jan Wijnands helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Veulen S.V. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. FC duindorp's Anton Medgyesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Hilberts in the 28th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Hilberts to strike the kick off in the second half. Anton Medgyesi made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Rudi Kuypers sent off a good shot on target. Bruno Hilberts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Medgyesi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play.
