Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hans-Cees Wekenburg started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Pieter Tinge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maasbommel SV's Stephan Hulzebos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karel Westerhof during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karel Westerhof hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Christijan Werner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerwin Cornelisse in the 17th minute of play. Maasbommel SV's Karel Westerhof got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christijan Werner was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Karel Westerhof capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karel Westerhof really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Karel Westerhof hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Olaf Driel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Olaf Driel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christijan Werner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karel Westerhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 34 in the game by Gerwin Cornelisse from a close distance when the talented Christijan Werner managed to make a qualified save. Breezand's players were relieved. In the 35th minute, Hans-Cees Teunissen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karel Westerhof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Christijan Werner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Gerwin Cornelisse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maasbommel SV's Karel Westerhof quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dirk Doll, made in the 40th minute of the game. Christijan Werner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerwin Cornelisse in the 41st minute. The supporters of Maasbommel SV booed when Breezand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Doll didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerwin Cornelisse to make the kick off. Gerwin Cornelisse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christijan Werner having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Breezand's Michel Landman got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Gerwin Cornelisse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christijan Werner was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Olaf Driel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard van Fessum charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerard van Fessum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Breezand's Gerard van Fessum got a free kick in the 60th minute. Elco Molhoek hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Henk-Jan Veenker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christijan Werner skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Olaf Driel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maasbommel SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Driel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 minutes of play Maasbommel SV's Karel Westerhof was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 72nd minute of the match, Hans-Cees Wekenburg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stephan Hulzebos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Christijan Werner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Driel in the 74th minute of the match. Hans-Cees Wekenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerwin Cornelisse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerwin Cornelisse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 84 played minutes Breezand got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Baptist. If Gerwin Cornelisse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Gerwin Cornelisse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maasbommel SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerwin Cornelisse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christijan Werner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maasbommel SV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
