Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leon de Winter started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Goodtimes FC's zone, Henk Pals stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allard van Fessum came out of the goal and Henk Pals tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacco Blikman charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacco Blikman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henk Pals got free with Allard van Fessum in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henk Pals could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Allard van Fessum made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Mathieu Deiman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Goodtimes FC's Oliver Mathijsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mirko Enzing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 26 played minutes Goodtimes FC got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Deiman. Filip Bekker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mirko Enzing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mirko Enzing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Mathijsen in the 31st minute of the match. Allard van Fessum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk Pals in the 32nd minute. Meijel's Mirko Enzing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon de Winter in the 36th minute of play. Evert Zwiers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allard van Fessum having to interfere. Henk Pals's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Allard van Fessum firmly grabbed it by the left post. Henk Pals could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Allard van Fessum made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Evert Zwiers made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Goodtimes FC's zone, Henk Pals stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allard van Fessum came out of the goal and Henk Pals tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon de Winter took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mirko Enzing. Mirko Enzing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Leon de Winter's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mirko Enzing firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 82 minutes of play, Goodtimes FC's Leon de Winter made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mirko Enzing was left in no man's land by his defense there! Allard van Fessum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Zwiers in the 90th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Goodtimes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Pals came free, but Allard van Fessum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Zwiers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Allard van Fessum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goodtimes FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
