The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Johannes Zalm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apoena Mora in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Damien Ax cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Johannes Zalm was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Apoena Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Apoena Mora dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johannes Zalm, 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Apoena Mora recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johannes Zalm. Apoena Mora showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruud Eising during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Langendijk's Ruud Eising got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Langendijk's goalkeeper Johannes Zalm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damien Ax. In the 25th minute, one of Langendijk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Langendijk. 30 minutes into the match, Langendijk's goal looked a bit too open when Apoena Mora came free, but Johannes Zalm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johannes Zalm came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by VFC De IJzerkoekjes's Apoena Mora. But to his dismay, Apoena Mora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. John Coopman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pan Ying Shu having to interfere. Apoena Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VFC De IJzerkoekjes's Damien Ax got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 45 in the game by Damien Ax from a close distance when the talented Johannes Zalm managed to make a qualified save. Langendijk's players were relieved. 48 minutes into the match, Langendijk's goalkeeper Johannes Zalm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damien Ax. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Damien Ax made the kick off in the second half. When VFC De IJzerkoekjes's Apoena Mora in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Langendijk's goalie prevented a goal. Damien Ax fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Zalm having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Apoena Mora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damien Ax's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Zalm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apoena Mora in the 63rd minute of play forced Langendijk's goalkeeper Johannes Zalm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damien Ax took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Zalm. Johannes Zalm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Damien Ax might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johannes Zalm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damien Ax ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute Damien Ax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Zalm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Apoena Mora notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Langendijk's Johannes Zalm. Johannes Zalm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apoena Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Zalm having to interfere. Langendijk's Johannes Zalm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Hohenstein in the 92nd minute of play. Maurits Hohenstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VFC De IJzerkoekjes fully deserved thier win.
