Niek Ronde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Ritsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Niels Zwiers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martien Meilandt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tim Ritsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Ritsmas short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Niek Ronde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With 35 minutes on the clock, Michael Kosterman commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kapolder fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Kapolder's Marinus Meijeringh got a free kick in the 39th minute. Niek Ronde was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Niels Hulzebos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Niels Hulzebos really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niels Hulzebos made a kick off. Kapolder's Niek Ronde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels Hulzebos in the 52nd minute of play. If Niels Hulzebos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niels Hulzebos in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niek Ronde saved Kapolder from getting behind. Tim Ritsma struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Niek Ronde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berkelaar. Niels Zwiers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Martien Meilandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kapolder booed when Berkelaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Sterenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephan Castelen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Niels Hulzebos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kapolder's Niek Ronde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marinus Meijeringh charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marinus Meijeringh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
