Bruno den Hartog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent van der Schans in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Jurjens saved Ooi from getting behind. If Vincent van der Schans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent van der Schans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Jurjens having to interfere. Kenneth Wagemakers's late challenge caught a Ooi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Wagemakers helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ooi booed when Twist was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Jurjens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huib Kruis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Ooi getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Dirk Nedergaard hit a great ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Harris Hof managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Twist's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harris Hof was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harris Hof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Jurjens having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Ooi's Mark Jurjens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Ooi from getting a goal against them. Ferry Kors hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Ooi's goal looked a bit too open when Harris Hof came free, but Mark Jurjens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Bruno den Hartog got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute Harris Hof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Jurjens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Twist's Harris Hof got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vincent van der Schans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harris Hof struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Mark Jurjens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Twist. In the 86th minute, Ferry Kors hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vincent van der Schans in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Jurjens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ooi were victorious despite being under pressure from Twist for much of the match.
