Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) Twist's Harris Hof started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Harris Hof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronald Stolte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Twist's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Stolte came free, but Huib Kruis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent van der Schans in the 16th minute of play forced Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Coos Janssens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coos Janssens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harris Hof, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Twist's goalkeeper Huib Kruis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Twist's Harris Hof got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lukas Sandbergen kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Twist's Gert Jan Kregel tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harris Hof in the 38th minute of play forced Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Coos Janssens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Harris Hof got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Coos Janssens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harris Hof in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ronald Stolte made the kick off in the second half. When Vincent van der Schans came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Twist fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent van der Schans couldn't finish the play. Harris Hof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coos Janssens having to interfere. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vincent van der Schans sped through Wissenkerke's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Coos Janssens. Ronald Stolte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Wissenkerke booed when Twist was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harris Hof didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huib Kruis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Stolte in the 81st minute of play. With his leg Coos Janssens managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Twist's Vincent van der Schans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Harris Hof's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Coos Janssens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Vincent van der Schans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Coos Janssens made a huge save. Twist played a much better game than Wissenkerke and deserved their victory. The Wissenkerke players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
