Spectators: 7366 (Terracing: 5561, Seating: 1705, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alwin van de Meerakker started the match with the kick off. Hub van Ankeren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VC Mestreech! Arjen Kik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastiaan Roewen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Ravenbergen in the 36th minute of play forced FC HASSES UNITED's goalkeeper Arjen Kik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes VC Mestreech got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Das. In the 38th minute, Dolf van de Meerakker sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and VC Mestreech's Derk Lurling didn't even have to move. Derk Lurling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gooitzen Hoogland in the 40th minute of the match. Derk Lurling was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gooitzen Hoogland. Bastiaan Roewen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Oorthuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Arjen Kik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The throw-in from Gooitzen Hoogland in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VC Mestreech's Tomas Zwinkels. After 60 played minutes FC HASSES UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Heinla. In the 62nd minute, Billy Oorthuis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arjen Kik. The goal made the score 2-1. The throw-in from Gooitzen Hoogland in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VC Mestreech's Tomas Zwinkels. After a rather tough play, FC HASSES UNITED's Michel Breugel got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jhon Eylens kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes FC HASSES UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Han de Visser. VC Mestreech's Derk Lurling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernhard Heinla in the 80th minute of play. Arjen Kik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastiaan Roewen, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Ronny Ravenbergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
