After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Rudi Zimmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ongeren V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rudi Zimmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rinus Scheffer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maarten Weerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Nijsse, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Wim Nijsse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Maarten Weerman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Hans van der Werff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theo Reints received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Maarten Weerman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wim Nijsse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maarten Weerman was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Theo Reints fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maarten Weerman having to interfere. When Wim Nijsse came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the BalBlazers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Nijsse couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as BalBlazers's Wim Nijsse slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maarten Weerman. That made the score 0-3 after 75 minutes of play. Ongeren V.V.'s Maarten Weerman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Ongeren V.V. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Nijsse in the 81st minute of play forced Ongeren V.V.'s goalkeeper Maarten Weerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans van der Werff hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Wim Nijsse received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maarten Weerman came out and tried to block the shot, but Wim Nijsse slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 87th minute. The Ongeren V.V. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BalBlazers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
