Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) Michel Maas made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Seeryp's zone, Peter Blom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Vrieling came out of the goal and Peter Blom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Seeryp's Tim Vrieling got control of the ball when Jeroen Bömker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeroen Bömker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tim Vrieling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Maaldrift's Peter Blom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Vrieling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Seeryp's Tim Vrieling got control of the ball when Jeroen Bömker tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 27 played minutes, Seeryp's Dries Wansink shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hans-Cees Kruiswijk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Seeryp reached it. Hans-Cees Kruiswijk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Maas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Seeryp's Derk Breugel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Maaldrift getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Geert Arend Sans hit a great ball. If Derk Breugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Maaldrift's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Maas came free, but Hans-Cees Kruiswijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derk Breugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Maaldrift booed when Seeryp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remond Hoiting didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Geert Arend Sans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tim Vrieling showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Henny van der Gun's late challenge caught a Seeryp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henny van der Gun helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Maaldrift's Henny van der Gun got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Blom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes, Seeryp's Dries Wansink shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hans-Cees Kruiswijk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Seeryp reached it. Hans-Cees Kruiswijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Maas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Henny van der Gun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Seeryp getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Klaas Jan Spijker hit a great ball. When Seeryp's Michel Maas in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maaldrift's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th minute, Michel Maas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Seeryp's Michel Maas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hans-Cees Kruiswijk. That made the score 0-2 after 76 minutes of play. With a little luck, Maaldrift's Hans-Cees Kruiswijk got control of the ball when Derk Breugel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hans-Cees Kruiswijk was a little too slow when Michel Maas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-3. After 88 played minutes Maaldrift got a freekick which was hit by Henny van der Gun. With a little luck, Maaldrift's Hans-Cees Kruiswijk got control of the ball when Derk Breugel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michel Maas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Seeryp walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
