Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tonny Rooy kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Jordi Nijhof got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freek Eschendaal made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Jelmer de Visser sent off a good shot on target. When Jan Hendrik Sans fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HPWinners's protests and gave Jan Hendrik Sans a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to HPWinners getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jan Hendrik Sans hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Stefano de Zwaan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stijn van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefano de Zwaan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 12 played minutes HPWinners got a freekick which was hit by Jan Hendrik Sans. Stefano de Zwaan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Stijn van der Saar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play, Lennisheuvel Excelsior's Tonny Rooy made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stijn van der Saar was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Lennisheuvel Excelsior's Freek Eschendaal got control of the ball when Jelmer de Visser tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, HPWinners's goal looked a bit too open when Tonny Rooy came free, but Stijn van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Eric Hostede sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lennisheuvel Excelsior's Freek Eschendaal didn't even have to move. Jelmer de Visser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freek Eschendaal having to interfere. During the 31st minute of the match Jan Hendrik Sans completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jan Hendrik Sans a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Lennisheuvel Excelsior booed when HPWinners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Hendrik Sans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tonny Rooy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Stijn van der Saar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Lennisheuvel Excelsior's Stefano de Zwaan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stijn van der Saar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. HPWinners's Stijn van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefano de Zwaan in the 43rd minute of play. When Harry Schenning fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HPWinners's protests and gave Harry Schenning a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes HPWinners got a freekick which was hit by Harry Schenning. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jelmer de Visser to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lennisheuvel Excelsior's zone, Jelmer de Visser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freek Eschendaal came out of the goal and Jelmer de Visser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonny Rooy in the 67th minute of play forced HPWinners's goalkeeper Stijn van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jelmer de Visser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freek Eschendaal having to interfere. HPWinners's Stijn van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonny Rooy in the 77th minute of play. Tonny Rooy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tonny Rooy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stijn van der Saar having to interfere. Stefano de Zwaan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stijn van der Saar having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lennisheuvel Excelsior walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
