Giovanni Andriessen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a rather tough play, Roodmus Kicks's Laurens Popken got a free kick in the 5th minute. Rogier Duinhoven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timo Ricksen in the 8th minute. Timo Ricksen's late challenge caught a Roodmus Kicks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timo Ricksen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Timo Ricksen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Serge van Gastel came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Roodmus Kicks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serge van Gastel couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Roodmus Kicks's goal looked a bit too open when Maurits Zandstra came free, but Rogier Duinhoven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurits Zandstra in the 20th minute of play forced Roodmus Kicks's goalkeeper Rogier Duinhoven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timo Ricksen struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Rogier Duinhoven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kerkhoven. 27 minutes into the match, Roodmus Kicks's goalkeeper Rogier Duinhoven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timo Ricksen. Timo Ricksen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roodmus Kicks's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tom Sloedingen 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Rogier Duinhoven made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timo Ricksen in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Serge van Gastel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rudolf Veldkamp charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudolf Veldkamp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Roodmus Kicks got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Veldkamp. Rogier Duinhoven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurits Zandstra in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Timo Ricksen came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Kerkhoven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timo Ricksen couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Maurits Zandstra made a precise shot to the right of Rogier Duinhoven. Roodmus Kicks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Maurits Zandstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogier Duinhoven having to interfere. Rogier Duinhoven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timo Ricksen in the 75th minute of the match. If Maurits Zandstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philip ter Averst during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Roodmus Kicks getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Philip ter Averst hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Maurits Zandstra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roodmus Kicks's Rogier Duinhoven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo Ricksen in the 86th minute of play. Rogier Duinhoven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurits Zandstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Roodmus Kicks's goalkeeper Rogier Duinhoven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kerkhoven had won after a very even match.
