Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when John Klasens took the kick off in the first half of the match. Egbert Dalmeijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Klasens in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, John Klasens dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Egbert Dalmeijer, 1-0. FC Smoothpapies's Godfried Lans got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Klasens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Egbert Dalmeijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reinier Hardering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Hebert in the 22nd minute of play. Robin Geerdink hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Huub Alferink sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reinier Hardering skillfully saved the ball. Roelof de Mol charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roelof de Mol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Smoothpapies getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Roelof de Mol hit a great ball. Pascall Paas's late challenge caught a Wacht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascall Paas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Pascall Paas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33rd play minutes John Riemers shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Reinier Hardering and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 37th minute, Roger Hebert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reinier Hardering was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Roger Hebert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wacht's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Hebert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinier Hardering breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfried Lans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Egbert Dalmeijer made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Hebert was the one to do the kick off. Godfried Lans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egbert Dalmeijer having to make a save. Reinier Hardering was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Roger Hebert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roger Hebert really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Pascall Paas struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Egbert Dalmeijer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Smoothpapies. Egbert Dalmeijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Klasens in the 66th minute of play. FC Smoothpapies's Godfried Lans got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Godfried Lans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Smoothpapies were furious when Youri Akkerman was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Smoothpapies fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, Wacht's Huub Alferink got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Reinier Hardering. FC Smoothpapies's Reinier Hardering proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save FC Smoothpapies from getting a goal against them. After 94 minutes of play, FC Smoothpapies's Godfried Lans made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egbert Dalmeijer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godfried Lans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wacht eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
