After having played for 12 minutes, Derk Neijsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hengvorden RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derk Neijsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Derk Neijsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Ihselmann having to interfere. A collision led to Kortezwaag getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Folker Akkerboom hit a great ball. When Derk Neijsen came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hengvorden RKSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derk Neijsen couldn't finish the play. Kortezwaag's Ryan Ihselmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Kortezwaag from getting a goal against them. In the 27thth minute of the game Derk Neijsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kortezwaag's Ryan Ihselmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Klaas Fenss short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Ryan Ihselmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ryan Ihselmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derk Neijsen in the 31st minute of play. Ryan Ihselmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Derk Neijsen's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Klaas Fens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kortezwaag's Ryan Ihselmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derk Neijsen in the 38th minute of play. When Hengvorden RKSV's Derk Neijsen in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kortezwaag's goalie prevented a goal. 46 minutes into the match, Kortezwaag's goal looked a bit too open when Stephan Dirks came free, but Ryan Ihselmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hengvorden RKSV's Hendrik Andriessen got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Klaas Jan Koeling sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hengvorden RKSV's Henk Baaijen didn't even have to move.

In the 53rd minute, Wilfried Hoving hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Derk Neijsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ryan Ihselmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derk Neijsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Ihselmann having to interfere. Derk Neijsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ryan Ihselmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derk Neijsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Ryan Ihselmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klaas Fens's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 67th minute Steve Grasmaaijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henk Baaijen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derk Neijsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Ihselmann having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Kortezwaag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folker Akkerboom to maneuver through the defense. Klaas Thomasse kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ryan Ihselmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaas Fens, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Derk Neijsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Stephan Dirks put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ryan Ihselmann. Klaas Fens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Ihselmann having to interfere.
