Maurice van Dam hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in VCZ's zone, Jacques Wermans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jelte Talsma came out of the goal and Jacques Wermans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th match minute, Snelleveld VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Alberda to maneuver through the defense. Rien Rijaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob de Jong in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Maurice van Dam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pieter-Jan Dost's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rien Rijaard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Jacques Wermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 49th minute, Kristof van Steensel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacques Wermans was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Gert Ijkwezen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VCZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snelleveld VV the free kick. After 55 played minutes VCZ got a freekick which was hit by Gert Ijkwezen. In the 56th minute, Richard de Hoop left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Snelleveld VV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 62nd match minute, VCZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristof van Steensel to maneuver through the defense. When Matthijs Bergman fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Snelleveld VV's protests and gave Matthijs Bergman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Snelleveld VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthijs Bergman to maneuver through the defense. Jelte Talsma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard de Hoop, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Jacques Wermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelte Talsma having to interfere.
