Roderick de Boer got in the 11th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Olof Polak handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 12 minutes, Roderick de Boer made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. AFC AFCA's Olof Polak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Koen van de Meerakker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Koen van de Meerakker during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Egbert van Basten's late challenge caught a AFC AFCA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egbert van Basten helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Buitenpost got a freekick which was hit by Egbert van Basten. Gerrit de Nooijer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Hostede in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Buitenpost's Dirk Meinders got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Buitenpost's goal looked a bit too open when Reinhard Wijnands came free, but Gerrit de Nooijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Buitenpost getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Huib Enzing hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes Buitenpost got a freekick which was hit by Huib Enzing. 40 minutes into the match, Rob Koster sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gerrit de Nooijer threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Rob Koster this time. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Reinhard Wijnands managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC AFCA's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinhard Wijnands was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerrit de Nooijer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egbert van Basten hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Reinhard Wijnands made the kick off in the second half. Roderick de Boer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 52nd match minute, AFC AFCA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arie Prins to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Buitenpost's Dirk Hostede tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arie Prins hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Olof Polak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roderick de Boer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koen van de Meerakker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Koen van de Meerakker struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Olof Polak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitenpost. Dirk Hostede walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Koen van de Meerakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koen van de Meerakker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olof Polak came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Buitenpost's Koen van de Meerakker. But to his dismay, Koen van de Meerakker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Koen van de Meerakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buitenpost's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
