Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edgar Boerma made the kick off which started today's match. Nick de Groot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Mook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Geldermalsen's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Boerma came free, but Nick de Groot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob van Nieuwstadt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Booy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Han van Zwieten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bob van Nieuwstadt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diderik Booy's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Twan Dam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nico Langenbach kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Ricky Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geldermalsen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricky Collins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 minutes, Gijsbert van der Werff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goorn and the Geldermalsen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gijsbert van der Werff kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Diderik Booy succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After 32 minutes of play, Goorn's Twan Dam made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nick de Groot was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Twan Dam struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Nick de Groot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goorn. Geldermalsen's Diderik Booy got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Han van Zwieten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Bob van Nieuwstadt made a huge save. After 58 played minutes Geldermalsen got a freekick which was hit by Jan Rein Jongsma. In the 64th minute Twan Dam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick de Groot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute Diderik Booy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob van Nieuwstadt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Diderik Booy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geldermalsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Diderik Booy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob van Nieuwstadt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Boerma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nick de Groot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Edgar Boerma came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Goorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Boerma couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the game, Twan Dam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Nick de Groot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Goorn players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
