Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Diderik Booy took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gorce FC's Stefan Melis got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guus van der Struijk took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nick de Groot. Nick de Groot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 7th minute Hans Schirring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick de Groot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Geldermalsen's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Schirring came free, but Nick de Groot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karel Janssens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk Ter in the 10th minute. After 23 played minutes Geldermalsen got a freekick which was hit by Bart Kaspers. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guus van der Struijk in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nick de Groot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 26 minutes, Diderik Booy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geldermalsen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diderik Booy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guus van der Struijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nick de Groot came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gorce FC's Leendert Werner. But to his dismay, Leendert Werner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 37th minute of the match Jan Hendrik Steelman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nick de Groot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Gorce FC's Stefan Melis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diderik Booy in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karel Janssens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Geldermalsen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gorce FC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Guus van der Struijk made the kick off in the second half. Nick de Groot made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Stefan Melis sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Guus van der Struijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorce FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guus van der Struijk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nick de Groot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Melis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Nick de Groot made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Stefan Melis could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Nick de Groot however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Gorce FC's Stefan Melis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nick de Groot. That made the score 0-3 after 63 minutes of play. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Stefan Melis sped through Geldermalsen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nick de Groot. Karel Janssens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diderik Booy, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Diderik Booy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karel Janssens was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. 93 minutes in the game, Diderik Booy dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Geldermalsen's Nick de Groot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Geldermalsen from getting a goal against them. Gorce FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
