Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jasper Rijaard took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ryan Bronkhorst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pim van Ankeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryan Bronkhorst had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Hugo de Jaeger's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Meer's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Lensen came free, but Jan Hendrik Rooze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Kuipers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ryan Bronkhorst came out and tried to block the shot, but Andre Kuipers slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Jan Hendrik Rooze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Lensen's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Mickael Kristoffers hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jan Hendrik Rooze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper Rijaard in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Westergeest FC's Jasper Rijaard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Hendrik Rooze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Westergeest FC's Maurits van Halst got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Meer's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Lensen came free, but Jan Hendrik Rooze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Mickael Kristoffers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Jasper Rijaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Hendrik Rooze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eric Bas fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westergeest FC's protests and gave Eric Bas a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Westergeest FC! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Andre Kuipers made the kick off in the second half. Jasper Rijaard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Hendrik Rooze having to make a save. Pim van Ankeren charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pim van Ankeren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Meer's Pim van Ankeren got a free kick in the 56th minute. Paul Hulzebos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Bronkhorst having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Westergeest FC's zone, Andre Kuipers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryan Bronkhorst came out of the goal and Andre Kuipers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Benjamin Lensen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westergeest FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Lensen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Meer's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jasper Rijaard fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jasper Rijaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hendrik Rooze having to interfere. Ryan Bronkhorst didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Hulzebos went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Meer's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
