Spectators: 6872 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Billy Cornelisse kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Wander in the 5th minute of play forced Kapolder RKSV's goalkeeper Falco Tamminga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kapolder RKSV's Stephan Heijen came free and shot a quick shot against goal 8 minutes in the game, fortunately Daan Beukers had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Pepijn Soer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Robert-Jan de Vos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeffrey Wander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Tamminga having to interfere. In the 27th minute Jeffrey Wander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falco Tamminga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfried Wijker's late challenge caught a Wanroij Excelsior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfried Wijker helped the player get up and apologised. When Robert-Jan de Vos came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Wanroij Excelsior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert-Jan de Vos couldn't finish the play. Falco Tamminga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeffrey Wander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daan Beukers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stephan Heijen went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Jeffrey Wander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falco Tamminga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Robert-Jan de Vos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wanroij Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert-Jan de Vos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falco Tamminga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Wanroij Excelsior's Daan Beukers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Cornelisse in the 52nd minute of play. Billy Cornelisse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Jeffrey Wander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Falco Tamminga. That made the score 2-1 in the 58 minute of play. In the 68th minute, Jeffrey Wander fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some careless play in the Kapolder RKSV defense, Robert-Jan de Vos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falco Tamminga. The Kapolder RKSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falco Tamminga should have stopped the shot. Christijan Klinkhamer hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Foeke Jurjens kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Stephan Heijen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Cornelisse might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daan Beukers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Billy Cornelisse ran back to his position shaking his head. Robert-Jan de Vos struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Falco Tamminga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wanroij Excelsior. Pepijn Soer kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 89 minutes, Pepijn Soer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kapolder RKSV and the Wanroij Excelsior players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pepijn Soer hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match Pieter-Jan Lute sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Falco Tamminga skillfully saved the ball. In the 93rd minute, Jeffrey Wander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
