Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ben Mathijsen got the match started through his kick off. Rinus Roorda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Maliskamp getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cor de Hondt hit a great ball. Maliskamp's Ben Mathijsen got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Kurt de Lange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerben Ebbinge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ben Mathijsen's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes Paardelanden got a freekick which was hit by Kurt de Lange. 34 minutes into the match, Ben Mathijsen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Paardelanden's Gerben Ebbinge. Gerben Ebbinge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rinus Roorda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoon Hohenstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoon Hohenstein couldn't finish the play. Hubert Kuipers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rinus Roorda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Ben Mathijsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 97 minutes, Ben Mathijsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maliskamp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Mathijsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maliskamp players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paardelanden.
