In the 4th minute of the match, Peter Stuijt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eelco Mosselveld was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 14 played minutes Felland got a freekick which was hit by Arjen Heulmann. With a little luck, F.C. Le Collosos's Eelco Mosselveld got control of the ball when Peter Stuijt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of F.C. Le Collosos booed when Felland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Hendrik de Vries didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Tomaszewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wim Veenker having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Gerard Roordink dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eelco Mosselveld, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douwe Zevenberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Eelco Mosselveld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Stuijt, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Mitchell Ginneken notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of F.C. Le Collosos's Eelco Mosselveld. Le Collosos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
