After 12 played minutes FC Utreg got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Appeldoorn. If Corné Aalberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domenik de Jong charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenik de Jong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, FC Utreg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenik de Jong to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harris Fellinger in the 21st minute of play forced Clock Work Orange 1974's goalkeeper Herbert Eising to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fred van Olst came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Clock Work Orange 1974 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred van Olst couldn't finish the play. If Eddy Idelberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Idelberger took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Eising. Herbert Eising dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eddy Idelberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Eising having to interfere. If Fred van Olst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stefan Veltman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corné Aalberts in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Corné Aalberts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Veltman was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Fred van Olst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Stefan Veltman made a huge save. The Clock Work Orange 1974 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Utreg were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corné Aalberts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marick Olfers during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Utreg booed when Clock Work Orange 1974 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marick Olfers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kelvin Steen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herbert Eising firmly grabbed it by the left post. Clock Work Orange 1974's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eddy Idelberger 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. FC Utreg's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Idelberger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Eising breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eddy Idelberger's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herbert Eising firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Utreg's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
