Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sjaak Nieuwendijk in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Hommes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucien van den Akker kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Sjaak Nieuwendijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Hommes having to interfere. Rafael van der Saar took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Hommes. Philip Hommes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, Rafael van der Saar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Hommes. Prinsenhage's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael van der Saar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin de Groot during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Prinsenhage booed when Opeinde SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin de Groot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Lucien van den Akker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Opeinde SV's Ate Sparnaaij tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerrit de Visscher made a kick off. With his leg Philip Hommes managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Opeinde SV's Sjaak Nieuwendijk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sjaak Nieuwendijk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Philip Hommes made a huge save. Lucien van den Akker was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ed Winters struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Daan Wit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prinsenhage. In the 78th minute Rafael van der Saar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Hommes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rafael van der Saar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Hommes was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Opeinde SV's Rafael van der Saar got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rafael van der Saar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th match minute, Prinsenhage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerrit de Visscher to maneuver through the defense. Chiel Zwarthoet made a great header on Opeinde SV's corner, it was just that Prinsenhage's Philip Hommes managed to reach the ball for a save. 94 minutes in the game, Rafael van der Saar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Philip Hommes having to interfere.
