Spectators: 7451 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pascal Dussel got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Englum's Arjen van der Stoel got a free kick in the 6th minute. Jelle Wiersma might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karsten Schattenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jelle Wiersma ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jim Seinstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Echterbosch RKSV were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Englum's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jelle Wiersma took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jelle Wiersma got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Karsten Schattenberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Ricky Robben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karsten Schattenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Dussel in the 29th minute of the match. Englum's Karsten Schattenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastiaan Scheper in the 30th minute of play. Stefan Buring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Robben in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Ricky Robben took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Stefan Buring to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Englum defense, Pascal Dussel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karsten Schattenberg. The Englum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karsten Schattenberg should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Englum's zone, Pascal Dussel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karsten Schattenberg came out of the goal and Pascal Dussel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Ricky Robben made the kick off in the second half. Ricky Robben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tom Valentijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastiaan Scheper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Echterbosch RKSV's Stefan Buring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Seinstra in the 62nd minute of play. Pascal Dussel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Schattenberg having to interfere. When Richard Baaijen fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Echterbosch RKSV's protests and gave Richard Baaijen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Richard Baaijen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Seinstra in the 69th minute of play forced Echterbosch RKSV's goalkeeper Stefan Buring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Englum were furious when Koos Ommen was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Englum! In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Echterbosch RKSV. Jelle Wiersma stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Karsten Schattenberg. 1-3. 89 minutes into the match, Echterbosch RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Allard Kort came free, but Stefan Buring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastiaan Scheper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascal Dussel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Schattenberg having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastiaan Scheper got free with Karsten Schattenberg in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karsten Schattenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Dussel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Echterbosch RKSV's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
