Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elmar Dam in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cobus van Fessum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute, Elmar Dam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The sc de Jong fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. sc de Jong's Mathieu Roetering proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save sc de Jong from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, sc de Jong's Elmar Dam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cobus van Fessum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Mathieu Roetering made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andy Ooijer in the 23rd minute. If Jaap Themmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. sc de Jong's Izaak de Boer got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaap Themmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cobus van Fessum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jan van der Meijde managed to get in a good position for a shot. sc de Jong's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan van der Meijde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cobus van Fessum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deadly Viper Squad's Cobus van Fessum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Dam in the 33rd minute of play. The sc de Jong fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when sc de Jong's Jaap Themmen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Jaap Themmen sped through Deadly Viper Squad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cobus van Fessum. After a rather tough play, sc de Jong's Joost van Halst got a free kick in the 63rd minute. sc de Jong's Mathieu Roetering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Paul Siepel in the 64th minute of play. sc de Jong's Elmar Dam was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 72nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 75 played minutes sc de Jong got a freekick which was hit by Jan van der Meijde. Mathieu Roetering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Ooijer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaap Themmen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Cobus van Fessum skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 82 minutes into the game, sc de Jong's Jan van der Meijde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. If Izaak de Boer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Deadly Viper Squad's Henk Vennegoor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
