After 8 played minutes, thjiners's Theo Rodenboog shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Philip Oss came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in thjiners reached it. Philip Oss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoon van Zaanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Laurens Harmsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Wouter Hovenkamp made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Landvoort's Martien Ronde dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ernst van Veldhuizen's late challenge caught a thjiners's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernst van Veldhuizen helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Landvoort got a freekick which was hit by Ernst van Veldhuizen. Wouter Hovenkamp made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Remco Rooy sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Nijemanting in the 32nd minute of play forced Landvoort's goalkeeper Philip Oss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martien Ronde in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wouter Hovenkamp saved thjiners from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Denny Saelman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Oss. Landvoort's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denny Saelman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Landvoort's Philip Oss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erben Donderwinkel in the 39th minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Landvoort's Remco Rooy made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wouter Hovenkamp was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Antoon van Zaanen came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the thjiners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoon van Zaanen couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Antoon van Zaanen came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the thjiners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoon van Zaanen couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Antoon van Zaanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. thjiners's supporters rose to their feet, but Antoon van Zaanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Oss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Landvoort's Frederik de Bruin got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Gilbert Nijemanting came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the thjiners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Nijemanting couldn't finish the play. Landvoort's Philip Oss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Landvoort from getting a goal against them. Erben Donderwinkel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Oss having to interfere. In the 67th minute Martien Ronde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wouter Hovenkamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes, Denny Saelman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the thjiners and the Landvoort players grew even worse after the yellow card. Denny Saelman hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Philip Oss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoon van Zaanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Landvoort's Philip Oss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Nijemanting in the 77th minute of play. Philip Oss was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Henk Schokkenbroek capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henk Schokkenbroek really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.
