Spectators: 3355 (Terracing: 1500, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henk de Jong started the match with the kick off. Henry Daverveld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Joffrey Lardon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fred Kregel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joffrey Lardon came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by IJzevoorde V.V.'s Henry Daverveld. But to his dismay, Henry Daverveld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Joffrey Lardon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Daverveld in the 12th minute of the match. VVV VENLO's Joffrey Lardon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Daverveld in the 19th minute of play. Joffrey Lardon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Kregel, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Joffrey Lardon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Daverveld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Henk de Jong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Duinhoven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Sjef Lodewijks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IJzevoorde V.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VVV VENLO the free kick. A collision led to IJzevoorde V.V. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sjef Lodewijks hit a great ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Henry Daverveld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IJzevoorde V.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Daverveld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Daverveld in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joffrey Lardon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joffrey Lardon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Daverveld, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the VVV VENLO defense, Fred Kregel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joffrey Lardon. The VVV VENLO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joffrey Lardon should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

VVV VENLO's Joffrey Lardon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Daverveld in the 51st minute of play. Henry Daverveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, VVV VENLO's Joffrey Lardon got control of the ball when Henry Daverveld tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fred Kregel struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Joffrey Lardon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IJzevoorde V.V.. Joffrey Lardon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henry Daverveld in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, IJzevoorde V.V.'s Henry Daverveld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joffrey Lardon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joffrey Lardon made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Henry Daverveld sent off a good shot on target. If Henry Daverveld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Kregel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joffrey Lardon having to interfere. Henk de Jong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Florian Duinhoven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Fred Kregel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joffrey Lardon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joffrey Lardon made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Henry Daverveld sent off a good shot on target. Henry Daverveld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Joffrey Lardon made a huge save. Joffrey Lardon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Kregel in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Kregel in the 88th minute of play forced VVV VENLO's goalkeeper Joffrey Lardon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Fred Kregel managed to get in a good position for a shot. IJzevoorde V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Kregel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joffrey Lardon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vincent Rieks struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Joffrey Lardon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IJzevoorde V.V.. Henry Daverveld's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joffrey Lardon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded IJzevoorde V.V. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than VVV VENLO.
