An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Harmens in the 14th minute of play forced SC Varsseveld's goalkeeper Ruben Robben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Harmens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ruben Robben tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, KACPER KSG's Jacobus Zandee got control of the ball when Pepijn Tanis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, KACPER KSG's Harm Mussies nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruben Robben made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 30th minute, Wilco Breugel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. SC Varsseveld's Wilco Breugel got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilco Breugel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jacobus Zandee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin Everts's late challenge caught a SC Varsseveld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwin Everts helped the player get up and apologised. If Edwin Everts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilco Breugel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52nd play minutes Harm Mussies shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Ruben Robben and just under the crossbar into goal. After 64th play minutes Pepijn Tanis shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Jacobus Zandee and just under the crossbar into goal. SC Varsseveld's Ruben Robben proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save SC Varsseveld from getting a goal against them. After 70 minutes, Pepijn Tanis made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. KACPER KSG's Jacobus Zandee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruben Robben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harm Mussies, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77thth minute of the game Harm Mussies who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Varsseveld's Ruben Robben was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Tim Harmens took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Ruben Robben to make any attempt to save it. Jacobus Zandee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilco Breugel, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, Wilco Breugel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Varsseveld fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. 95 minutes into the game, Guus Geitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KACPER KSG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Varsseveld the free kick.
