ZarZoR's Harmen Ooijer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meindert de Wolf in the 2nd minute of play. Harmen Ooijer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucjan Brudzisz went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 7 minutes of play, Zevenbergsche Boys's Meindert de Wolf made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harmen Ooijer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harmen Ooijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucjan Brudzisz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Hans van der Woude left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZarZoR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Pierre Schalkwijk hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the ZarZoR defense, Pierre Schalkwijk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harmen Ooijer. The ZarZoR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harmen Ooijer should have stopped the shot. Pierre Schalkwijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harmen Ooijer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Castelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Schalkwijk in the 25th minute of play forced ZarZoR's goalkeeper Harmen Ooijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre Schalkwijk in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harmen Ooijer saved ZarZoR from getting behind. Zevenbergsche Boys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Jan Staarman scored to the left of an out of position Thorbjørn Argart, making the score, 2-3. The audience was convinced that Hans Castelen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harmen Ooijer was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35thth minute of the game Hans Castelen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZarZoR's Harmen Ooijer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Hans Slot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thorbjørn Argart was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind ZarZoR's goalkeeper Harmen Ooijer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Maurits Sandstra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harmen Ooijer was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Pierre Schalkwijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The wind increased when Meindert de Wolf made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in ZarZoR's zone, Pierre Schalkwijk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harmen Ooijer came out of the goal and Pierre Schalkwijk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ZarZoR's Harmen Ooijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save ZarZoR from getting a goal against them. Jan Staarman kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Lucjan Brudzisz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harmen Ooijer. Lucjan Brudzisz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Pierre Schalkwijk struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Harmen Ooijer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zevenbergsche Boys. With his leg Harmen Ooijer managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Zevenbergsche Boys's Meindert de Wolf fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Zevenbergsche Boys's Lucjan Brudzisz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Koen Som sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thorbjørn Argart skillfully saved the ball. Thorbjørn Argart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Staarman in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Zevenbergsche Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Klein came free, but Thorbjørn Argart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Hans van der Woude shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorbjørn Argart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zevenbergsche Boys's Maurits Sandstra got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurits Sandstra kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Zevenbergsche Boys played a much better game than ZarZoR and deserved their victory. The ZarZoR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
