The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Schuurmans got free with Harris Ubels in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 6 minutes, Dolf Blaauwgeers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GreenHampton FC and the Sheven players grew even worse after the yellow card. 5 minutes into the game, one of GreenHampton FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Domenik Pothuizen walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 10th minute, Riemer Seinstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Schuurmans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Harris Ubels made a huge save. Meindert Melker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Dol in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Riemer Seinstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riemer Seinstra in the 19th minute of play forced GreenHampton FC's goalkeeper Meindert Melker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Dol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hans Wijks short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Meindert Melker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in GreenHampton FC's zone, Martien Barels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meindert Melker came out of the goal and Martien Barels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sheven booed when GreenHampton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jhon Bruinsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, GreenHampton FC's Meindert Melker got control of the ball when Hans Wijk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sheven's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
